    Ages 5-18: Youth development programs are open to youth ages 5-18 to learn the life-skills of responsibility, respect, decision-making, safety, & fun. Summit County 4-H offers over 20 different club projects taught by volunteer adult leaders using CSU curriculum focused on life skill development.

    Projects range from horses, woodworking, rocketry, arts & crafts, sewing, gardening, leathercraft, dog training, fly fishing, ceramics, cake decorating, fun with foods, archery, hiking, biking and more.

  • Easter Seals Yay! Camp Summit

    Ages 6 - 18: Yay! Camp Summit is a day camp for children with disabilities between the ages of 6 and 18 in Summit County.

    This summer will be our fourth summer running this camp with our base in Frisco at the old Senior Center at 110 3rd Ave. Our camp runs 3 days a week (Mon. - Wed.) from 8:30 am - 4:30 pm, starting June 9th and ending August 6th. All of our activities are in Summit County and range from visits to Copper Mountain to swimming at the local recreation centers to pontoon boating and everything in between. Our mission is to provide safe and fun adventures for our campers, aiding and supporting them in whatever way needed. The cost of our camp is currently $65/day but we are hoping to receive a grant that will lower the price by the summer.

    Ages 5-12: The Frisco Fun Club is an exciting and adventurous way for children ages 5 - 12 to spend the summer. Enjoy week long themed activities that offer educational sessions and activities Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., running June 4th through August 17th.

    Fun Club is a state licensed day camp program offering experienced camp counselors, low child/counselor ratios, and access to the great recreation amenities provided by the Town of Frisco!

  • Frisco Workforce Youth Program

    Are you between the ages of 16-21? Do you have goals that you need help to achieve? Are you looking for a career path? Do you need a little extra help getting a job or succeeding in school? Workforce Investment Act Programs (WIA) may be what you are looking for!!!

    WIA is an eligibility-based program designed to help young people 16-21, who are economically disadvantaged and have barriers to employment. Participants must be both eligible and suitable for the program. Enrollment in the program entails a long term commitment both on the part of the Workforce Center and the Participant. The goal is to help our Youth to develop into contributing, self-sufficient adults. The Youth Program provides a variety of services to help youth reach personal, employment, or educational goals.

    Youth Activities May Include:

    *Pre-Employment Training (applications, resume, interviewing) and workshops
    *Work-readiness preparation such as work ethics and employer expectations
    *Basic Skills Training (including GED)
    *Occupational Skills Training (Classroom Training Scholarships and On-The-Job Training Opportunities)
    *Career planning such as interest assessments, vocational plan development
    *Supportive resources and referrals to other services

    Whether you just need a few job-hunting tips, or you would like to get personal, goal-oriented support, they will work with you to identify the activities and resources that will be most appropriate for your individual needs and goals!
